What this website collects, what it does not, and the choices you have.
This policy explains what information staysantarosa.com collects, why it is collected, and what choices you have. Stay Santa Rosa is a general travel guide created and operated by Hotel E Santa Rosa and Art House Santa Rosa. It features the two hotels alongside restaurants, wineries and attractions in the surrounding area. It is not a booking system, and no reservation is created or stored on this site.
Stay Santa Rosa was created by Hotel E and Art House Santa Rosa as a general travel guide, and the two hotels run and operate staysantarosa.com. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Hotel E Santa Rosa (37 Old Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa, CA) and Art House Santa Rosa (620 7th Street, Santa Rosa, CA) acting as operators of this website. Each hotel also runs its own hotel website and booking engine, which are covered by that hotel's own privacy policy rather than this one.
This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not include a contact form, newsletter signup, or payment page. In normal use we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details through this site.
Like most websites, the server that delivers these pages records standard technical information each time a page is requested. That can include your IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time. This information is used to keep the site working, diagnose errors, and understand which guides visitors find useful. It is used only to operate and improve Stay Santa Rosa.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the guides. See Google Analytics below for what it collects and how to opt out.
Some pages remember small preferences in your browser, such as which filter you last used on a guide. That information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Several pages use services provided by others. When a page loads content from one of these services, that service receives the request and can see technical information such as your IP address, in line with its own privacy policy.
We do not control these services and we are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies if you want to understand how they handle data.
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to count visits and see which pages, guides and links are used most. When you load a page, the Google tag (gtag.js) runs in your browser and sends Google information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the links you click, the site that referred you, your approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address), and your device, browser, operating system and screen size. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
To tell visits apart, Google Analytics sets first party cookies in your browser, named
_ga and _ga_NWT0RRXS42, which contain a random identifier and can
last up to two years unless you delete them. We see this information only as aggregated reports
and do not use it to identify you. We do not send Google your name, email address or other
information that directly identifies you, and analytics data is not combined with hotel guest
or reservation records.
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. To opt out, you can block or delete cookies in your browser, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The guides work normally with analytics blocked.
Booking buttons on this site hand you off to the booking engine used by Hotel E or Art House Santa Rosa, on that hotel's own domain. Although the same hotels operate Stay Santa Rosa, any information you enter there, including guest details and payment information, is collected and processed by that hotel and its booking provider under the hotel's own privacy policy, not this one. This site does not receive, see or store your reservation details.
This site does not use advertising cookies. The cookies it sets come from Google Analytics, described above; embedded third party services may set their own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the guides and maps will continue to work, though some conveniences may reset between visits.
This website is intended for a general audience planning travel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Apart from the analytics data described above, this site does not collect personal information, so there is usually little for us to retrieve, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have a question about this policy, email hello@staysantarosa.com and we will respond.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know what personal information a business collects, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The analytics data described above is the main category of personal information collected through this site (online identifiers and internet activity), and it is used only to measure and improve the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email hello@staysantarosa.com.
This site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. Google Analytics measures visits to this site only; you can opt out using the options in the Google Analytics section.
Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operating and improving the site, then discarded. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account (Google offers 2 or 14 months), then deleted automatically. No system is perfectly secure, but the site is served over an encrypted connection and holds no guest records.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
